Sookie Header

This is Chelsea's fanlisting collective and graphic site which was opened on July 30, 2005. Have a nice time looking around and if you need to get in touch with me please contact me here.

I currently own 28 fanlistings which altogether have a total member count of 23902 approved fans with 10 pending fans, and a growth rate of 19.34 fans per day. My latest opened fanlisting is the fanlisting for Sookie Stackhouse.

Already October?

Wow, the months have flown by. It feels like yesterday that I was obsessed with the Olympics. I’m already at the mid-term point of the semester, which is a rather scary thought! My life hasn’t been all too interesting even though I’ve noticed time flying by. School and work, rinse and repeat.

Of course, which I knew would happen, since I’ve been back in school I haven’t had a chance to read any novels for leisure. After reading notes and textbooks, I am tired of reading by the end of the week and just want to catch up with what I have saved on my DVR. Our fall break isn’t until November, which seems forever away, so hopefully I’ll be able to do some reading then.

I don’t remember mentioning this before, so I’ll mention this now. I opened the Sookie Stackhouse fanlisting a little while ago and it is in both Characters: Book/Movie and Characters: TV. She is a fantastic character and both the book series and True Blood are really enjoyable. I will poke anyone to watch/read that hasn’t already!

More Randomness

The Sookie Stackhouse fanlisting is mostly up. I put up two skins so far, one with illustrations from the book and one using Anna Paquin as a “visual aid.” :D I wish that fandom had a larger following as finding any fanart/fanfic for it is almost impossible!

Other than getting that up, I’ve been watching some of the Olympics. I have never really been one to watch much of it although am enjoying more of it this year. I will admit the main thing I want to watch out of it is the Team USA men’s basketball team who beat China this morning by 31 points!

Reading is Fun!

So, I’ve been doing quite a bit of reading lately and managed to start and finish several series. I read the Watchmen a couple days ago as I had heard a lot about it, and also saw the movie trailer. I also read Breaking Dawn, the first book in the Dresden Files, and read a YA book called The City of Ember, which is getting the movie treatment next year. I’m a book addict and if you can’t tell I rediscovered the library recently. :p

I have also managed to get everything converted over to fit in with the new layout except for the quotes page which I haven’t done yet as I was lazy. Oh well, it will get done! I’m also trying to find out how to change a few things on the comments area, design wise. I wasn’t really expecting to have so many spam comments, already! I just converted to WP a few days ago and am nearing I would say 50 spam comments. *sigh* I’m glad I have this on moderated otherwise my posts would be flooded.

Argh

Wow, that was a lot harder than I expected. If you see this then you’ll see that I have changed from the not so great Cutenews to Wordpress. This meant I had to recode EVERYTHING. I even had to change up some of the Enthusiast template pages. Things around the site aren’t 100% up but should be over the next few days. I really have to thank Codegrrl, their forums had so many answers that helped me greatly!

I also have a new layout up featuring Anna Paquin and Alex Skarsgard as Sookie Stackhouse and Eric Northman, who happen to be book characters from The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris. These two were cast as these characters for the HBO show True Blood which I’m looking forward to!

I decided to put all my old Cutenews “blogs” on the backburner as I really don’t feel like figuring out how to add those into Wordpress, maybe eventually I will bother with it. ;) Although, to be honest my updates weren’t all that exciting so I probably won’t.

My eyes hurt from dealing with this for so long so I’m going to take a break and go to bed. Heh.
